The silicate paint for interiors from Wilckens is a high-coverage interior paint based on water glass. It is water-based with safe and natural protection against algae, fungi and bacteria and is also highly permeable to water vapor and moisture-regulating. B. natural stone, concrete, masonry, plasterboard, fiber cement boards, mineral thermal insulation plaster, lime, cement and gypsum plaster suitable. Can also be used for renovations on old lime, silicate and mineral paint substrates. Notsuitable for wallpaper, oil paints and lacquered surfaces. The paint can also be mixed with silicate-based full and tinting paints. In the case of universal pastes, check the pigment compatibility (note that the colors dry up lighter).
Make sure that the subsurface is suitable, clean, dry, free of grease, even, stable, absorbent and adhesive. Allow new plaster to dry for at least four weeks. Remove any non-intact/unsuitable coatings completely before painting, repair damaged areas with a spatula. Thoroughly wash off glue/lime paint and chalking surfaces. Clean extremely dirty surfaces with a fat-dissolving household cleaner. Cover glass, painted surfaces, metals, marble, tiles, natural/artificial stone, clinker, ceramics, wood, etc. Wipe off splashes immediately with a damp cloth. Air, object, material temperature should be at least +8°C. Always stir the product thoroughly before use. Prime the surface as required . Paint, roll, brush or spray airless in one go, wet-on-wet crosswise (please note the information from your device manufacturer regarding nozzle size and material pressure). For a primer, mix 2 parts silicate paint and 1 part diluted silicate primer and apply. Apply the final/top coat preferably undiluted or prepare it with up to a maximum of 5% silicate primer. Depending on the substrate, 1 - 2 undiluted coats are sufficient. After approx. 2-3 hours the paint is dry on the surface. It can be overworked after 12 hours at the earliest. Clean tools immediately after use with soap and water.
Consumption:
approx. 5 - 7 m²/ltr. with one coat, depending on the condition / absorbency of the substrate
Caution! Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one; 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one. Can cause allergic reactions. Advice for isothiazolinone allergy sufferers on telephone number: 0 41 24-606-188.
