The universal fixation from Wilckens is a ready-to-use PVC adhesive with high initial adhesion is for fixing floor coverings with different backings, such as jute -, textile, fleece and foam backings, linoleum as well as CV and PVC coverings for indoor use. The adhesive can be used on cement screeds (filled), floor leveling compound, natural and artificial stone and the like. In addition, the universal fixing is low in solvents and emission-free.
Appropriate professional pre-treatment of the surface is crucial for a good, long-lasting coating. The surface must be suitable, clean, dry, level, load-bearing, absorbent and adhesive. Completely remove any non-intact/unsuitable coatings and fill damaged areas. Prime the surface as required and roughen it if necessary. The air, object and material temperature should be at least +8°C. The coverings to be processed must first be stored flat at room temperature. Roll out the flooring and cut it to size. The suitability of the material to be bonded should be tested in advance with a test bonding. Be sure to follow the flooring manufacturer's installation instructions. Always stir thoroughly before use. Apply the adhesive to the surface using a notched trowel or roller. For absorbent surfaces, place the covering in the still damp adhesive bed and roll it evenly. When laying water vapor impermeable CV and PVC floorings on non-absorbent surfaces, spread the fixing evenly over the surface and let it dry for approx. 20 - 30 minutes, but it should still be adhesive (finger test). Then place the covering in the adhesive bed and drive it firmly into place or press it firmly with a roller. If necessary, reroll again after 30 - 50 minutes. Possibly weigh down edges and joints. For CV coverings, sealing the joints using cold welding agent is recommended. Remove adhesive residue immediately with water.
