The gingko is a worldwide planted tree species. Standing from out through it's split leaves it appears to be unique in the flora and got linked to the symbol of Yin-Yang frpm the very beginning. According to Asian philosophy the slim and aspringing habit is representing the Yang, symbolising attractiveness and vitality. The fan-shaped leaves are presenting the Yin, illustrating soft- and smoothness. Thanks to this meaning the gingko is considered as an interpretation of harmony in many countries.
