The plant oil-based wood preservative stain from Wilckens is the ideal solution for anyone who wants to enjoy their wood for a long time. Thanks to the reinforcement with polyurethane, which increases its resistance to weathering, light and UV, it offers the best weather protection. The easy-to-apply glaze is suitable for a decorative coating to emphasise the wood grain and impresses with its weather-resistant properties. Furthermore, the long-lasting glaze is odourless and therefore particularly suitable for glazing wooden ceilings and wooden wall panelling indoors. But the stain can also be used in many ways outdoors. Wooden houses, roof cladding, carports or pergolas get a long-lasting, water-repellent and UV-resistant weather protection after one coat with the deep-penetrating stain. In addition, the glaze is low in solvents, breathable, moisture-regulating, as well as open-pored.

Application:

Before application, make sure that the substrate is clean, grease-free and dry. Wash off resinous and sticky-greasy wood surfaces with thinner and completely remove flaking and unsound old coats. The wood moisture content should not exceed 15%. The working temperature must not fall below +5°C during application and drying (air and substrate). Stir the stain well before starting work. When using several containers, ensure that the same batch is used. The stain can be applied directly to the wood with a brush, roller or tassel. Two thin coats are recommended. Clean the tools with water immediately after use. After approx. five hours the stain is dust-dry and after approx. 48 hours it is completely dry (at +20°C, 65% rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time.

Approx. 10 m²/litre | Sufficient for an area of approx. 50 m².
